LUCRF Super is an industry superannuation fund with a proud history of serving our members by providing the highest quality products at low cost. We are currently seeking a Human Resources Consultant to assist the fund to achieve its growth strategy. In this newly created role, you will be responsible for recruitment, as well as generalist HR duties.

The primary purpose of the role includes:

  • Advising management, and staff on Award and EBA provisions, conditions, HR policies and procedures and other HR matters;
  • Recruitment activities;
  • Managing staff insurance, workers compensation and health and safety issues;
  • Managing induction and probation; and
  • Maintaining HR records

The responsibilities of the role include:

  • Maintain recruitment and selection policy and procedures
  • Support all recruitment within the business
  • Assist in the development and implementation of human resources programs including induction and general training and staff development
  • Manage staff induction and exit processes
  • Administer insurance policies (workers compensation, income protection and life insurance)
  • Provide advice and support to stakeholders in accord with LUCRF HR strategies and procedures
  • Provide reports and advice to the HR Manager on HR systems, activities, trends and outcomes including recruitment, induction, staff turnover, absenteeism etc.
  • Organise training for staff, in accord with assessed training needs

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Excellent time management skills
  • Highly organised and strong attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • The ability to interpret legislation, enterprise agreements and other complex terminology
  • Sound analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders
  • Experience in human resources typically gained within financial services
  • Experience in recruitment
  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • A solid knowledge of the Australian superannuation industry (preferred)
  • Experience within a unionised workplace within financial services (preferred)
