The Opportunity

Ramsay Health Care is seeking applications from experienced HR professionals to join the National HR team on a part-time, 0.6FTE basis for a period of 12 months.  

As a member of the National HR Services team, you will work on a variety of exciting and diverse national HR initiatives to support the Australian operations. Additionally, you will work collaboratively with Corporate and State HR Managers, Hospital Executives and Senior Managers to support the delivery of Ramsay’s HR objectives in addition to providing timely, accurate and well considered advice and support to managers and employees on a range of HR matters via phone and email support.

Your new role

Reporting to the National HR Services Team Leader, you will confidently engage with a range of internal and external stakeholders to provide effective HR support. You will work within a small, dedicated and fun team of HR professionals supporting ‘The Ramsay Way’ every day. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage a variety of National HR projects and initiatives e.g. development and rollout of an employee performance review framework, manager toolkits etc
  • Development and review of National HR policies, guidelines and tools
  • Actively contribute towards talent sourcing initiatives (e.g. advertising, passive talent sourcing, developing PDs, interview support, contracts management and onboarding)
  • Management of the Employee Assistance and the Ramsay Employee Benefits and Wellbeing programs
  • Provision of advice and coaching to managers in all areas of HR including performance management, contract development, workplace matters etc
  • Preparation and submission of key internal and external reports e.g. WGEA and salary reports.

What you will need to succeed

  • Tertiary qualifications in HR and relevant experience as a Senior HR Officer, Advisor or Business Partner
  • Experience in a HR generalist role providing support and advice across various areas of Human Resources
  • Experience managing HR projects and being the lead on HR initiatives within a medium and/or large business
  • Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships
  • Ability to employ an analytical approach to problem solving and HR project management
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and interpret HR data and make recommendations
  • Knowledge of current employment legislation and the ability to interpret industrial instruments
  • Proven superior level communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to deliver key communications and possible training/professional development to internal stakeholders.

Whilst not mandatory, the ability to increase hours when required based on operational needs will be highly regarded.
