Due to continued growth nationally, we are currently seeking an experienced and hands on HR Advisor with preferable experience in FMCG, warehousing or logistics industry to join the team based at our Head Office, South Oakleigh, Melbourne.

The Role

Reporting to the National Human Resources Manager, you will be supporting regional Branch Managers across the HR portfolio including advice and end to end management of HR related matters, performance and grievance management, compliance, employee management, and ER, both onsite in Melbourne and via conference to support your key internal client base.

About the position

This role is responsible for:

  • Act as key contact point for employee enquiries
  • Manage end to end ER issues, including performance, disciplinary management and grievance management.
  • Provide HR advice, interpretation and guidance to key stakeholders around policy, EA, award interpretation and HR related matters.
  • Development of position descriptions, policies and procedures
  • Provide administrative assistance for EA negotiations  
  • Maintain and ensure multi-site compliance standards
  • Compile and develop monthly metrics reporting across HR remit
  • Assist National HR Manager in ad hoc administrative tasks as required and project manage new HR initiatives
  • Drive company values to promote a positive culture and engaged workforce

About your experience: 

To ensure your success, you will possess the following;

  • 3-5 years proven experience in a generalist HR advisory role
  • Tertiary qualified in Human Resources or related field
  • Previous experience in FMCG, transport, warehousing highly regarded
  • Solid understanding of Fair Work Act, NES and interpretation of multi-awards
  • Experience in preparing HR metrics and reporting
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management including proven ability to coach, mentor and build trust within your internal stakeholder groups
  • Advanced Microsoft/excel skills including formulas
  • Experienced and confident working with numerical data (must love numbers!)
