This reputable mining & resources company is currently seeking to expand their HR team, starting with this newly created HRBP position. With core values that include integrity, excellence, humility and continuity they are seeking to build line manager capability, roll out strategic initiatives and streamline policies and procedures to directly impact the efficiencies of their human capital.
 
Reporting to the HR Manager, the main responsibilities of this role will include:
  • Enabling the business to achieve performance objectives by providing sound advisory support. This includes performance management coaching, advising on ER matters, legislation, policies, procedures, workforce planning, change management and HR best practice. 
  • Leading ER investigations across a range of issues and complexities, along with liaising with union representative as required. 
  • Assisting with the development and rollout of core HR initiatives to drive engagement and productivity. This also includes supporting EBA negotiations. 
  • Working across the full employee life cycle including recruitment, onboarding, inductions, performance appraisals, succession planning, training & development and off-boarding employees. 
  • Ensure that employees comply with company OH&S policies and ensure safe work procedures are adhered to.  
This role presents the opportunity to work as part of a broader national HR team in a varied HRBP role. To be successful for this role you will offer:
  • Tertiary qualification in HR or a related discipline and sound understanding of current legislation requirements. 
  • Previous experience working in a HRBP role in a fast paced, blue-collar and industrial relations environment. 
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, natural capabilities to build trusted relationships and ability to have difficult conversations with stakeholders and union representatives.  
  • A motivated, resilient and autonomous individual with a drive to support the overall strategic HR and business objectives.
