This company have been providing quality products to the domestic and international markets for over 50 years. They are owned by Australians, use a local workforce and produce fantastic quality Australian products. This is not your typical HR role. You will be involved in all facets of human resources from general duties, recruitment, RTW, payroll (backup) and industrial relations. Reporting to the general manager your typical duties include:
- Recruitment and selection
- Return to work liaison for Workcover
- Back up for payroll
- Implementing and keeping up to date with the latest IR legislation
- Work with other managers on staff management – performance appraisals / discipline
- Liaise and work with all other departments for their HR needs
- Some personal assistant duties
- Ability to work in and out of a cold environment
- Ad hoc duties as required
In order to be considered for this position, we are seeking someone with the following attributes:
- Strong communication skills and an approachable personality
- Extensive experience in Human Resources with exposure to Workers compensation, IR and recruitment.
- Tertiary qualifications are desirable but hands on experience is preferred
- Strong knowledge of IR legislation
- High attention to detail
