The Organisation

Nyamba Buru Yawuru (NBY) means "This is the place of Yawuru". NBY Ltd. manages the day to day business of the Yawuru Native Title Holders and is engaged in a diverse range of projects which help to provide social, cultural, environmental and financial sustainability for the future of Yawuru people.

 

The Role

NBY's Human Resources Officer ensures the smooth running of HR activities via the support and coordination of all HR administrative requirements.

This role includes but is not limited to tasks such as:

  • coordinating and delivering induction processes for new staff
  • maintaining personnel records and associated documentation
  • coordinating and ensuring accurate HR documentation is maintained for recruitment, performance, workplace health and safety and learning & development processes
  • support the roll-out and coordination of HR projects and initiatives
  • provide guidance for Managers and Staff on people related policies and processes
  • organise Quarterly All Hands meetings
  • contribute towards a workplace culture in alignment with NBY values

The ideal candidate will have:

  • previous experience in a similar role with an understanding of HR principles and administration
  • proficient word processing and computing skills using microsoft office programs
  • a positive, proactive and professional approach
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to operate in a confidential environment and maintain trust and integrity
  • strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain strong working relationships.
