About Us

Many Rivers commenced operations in April 2008.  Our National Office is in Sydney and our team live and work in remote, regional and urban locations across Australia. We are expanding our national footprint.

 

When people impacted by disadvantage are not able to participate in the real economy they remain disadvantaged and unable to move forward.  In many of the regions where we are located there are limited job opportunities.  Therefore, to create change and economic opportunities for all Australians who want the chance to overcome multiple economic and social challenges, we need to support enterprise creation and provide connection for small businesses across Australia to the mainstream economies.

About the role

As Head of Organisational & People Development you will be responsible for the sourcing and development of talent to enable Many Rivers to achieve its Mission and Objectives.  You will design, build and manage organisational support processes and practices across recruitment, onboarding & induction, training & development, organisational design & performance and change management.  If you are a dynamic, results driven, “hands-on” Human Resources Manager ready to make a strategic and personal investment into addressing disadvantage (structural and individual) in Australia, this role is for you!

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implementation and management of Many Rivers’ recruitment, onboarding & induction processes and practices.
  • Strengthening talent through organisational capability development.
  • Development of talent processes and practices in areas such as individual & team capability development, learning and development, and performance management across the organisation.
  • In partnership with Team Leaders, ensuring effective on-going people leadership and management capability development.
  • Development, implementation and management of Many Rivers’ organisational policies, including administration of WH&S and Incident Management processes.
  • Design and implementation of the organisational change program to support business and project plan execution.

Personal Attributes of the Candidate:

  • Share Many Rivers’ motivation and commitment to serve people from all walks of life.
  • Demonstrated experience in talent management, performance management and people development.
  • Proven ability to take an advisory and consultative approach, to understand business requirements and offer on-going support to all levels of the organisation.
  • Experience delivering change programs across MS Dynamics CRM, ERP/Financials platforms and the Microsoft suite of applications (preferred).
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Human Resources.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
