Who are we?
MEGT is a not-for-profit organisation and we specialise in helping people start a rewarding apprenticeship or traineeship and set them up for a career, not just a job. Our Melbourne based recruitment team are long term and dedicated recruiters.
With a combined 22 years’ experience at MEGT, our team of Sally, Elyse and Jasmine will be able to give you all the assistance and inside knowledge you will need to make this job your career. They also have a pretty good time as they do it. With our National Recruitment Manager, Jason, based in the Ringwood office as well, there well plenty of opportunity for training or one on one coaching.
What will you be doing?
Hopefully you will go home each day feeling like you have accomplished something and made a difference to an apprentice or trainee’s life. We want you to be the best trained recruitment consultant who will contribute to the business positively. You will start as a Trainee Resourcer supporting the Recruitment Team in a full-time capacity.
Your day will include sourcing candidates, conducting phone screens and booking interviews for our Recruitment Consultants. You will also complete reference checks, co-ordinate pre-employment checks and inductions. We will even give you the opportunity to complete a Certificate III in Business, if you don’t have a qualification already.
Does this sound like you?
You may have experience in recruitment industry, that’d be great because you wouldn’t need to start as a trainee and could probably start recruiting on your own. If you don’t then that is still great too. Hopefully you will have outstanding written and verbal communication skills, excellent organisational and time management skills and strong computer skills, intermediate level of skills with Microsoft products
If you are successful we will require you to undertake a Police Check and any State/Territory Working with Children Check (where applicable).
