Moxey Farms, part of the AFMH group, is a leader in the Australian Dairy Industry. Working within Australia’s largest single site dairy, the Head of People & Culture is responsible for strategic and functional input into work health and safety, recruitment and selection, remuneration and benefits, learning and development, employee relations and industrial relations.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Work with Senior Leadership Team to set, implement and review the company’s People Strategy and align with the overall business plan (includes workforce planning, organisational development, labour management and HR cost management).
  • Delivery of HR strategic projects to support future growth plans
  • Be the centre of expertise for HR related queries and an advocate of best people practices for AFMH
  • Provide leadership to the HR team and wider business to promote an engaging and progressive work environment
  • Develop and implement effective human resources frameworks, policies and procedures; ensuring ongoing maintenance
  • Provide relevant, systematic and coordinated services to the business across all HR cyclical programs
  • Oversight of recruitment practices to ensure they reflect the company’s goal to attract, retain, develop and manage a high-performing team
  • Manage broader HR team of 4-5 FTE

Qualifications, Skills & Experience (Essential):

  • Demonstrated experience in an HR Management role or operating in a similar capacity
  • Extensive experience managing diverse human resources programs
  • Sound understanding of the legal, political and industrial relations framework
  • Ability to liaise, mediate and negotiate with staff across all layers of the business
  • Strong team leadership skills in all areas of work
  • Acts ethically and with integrity, respects confidentiality, and approaches others in a diplomatic and tactful manner
  • Highly articulate with excellent communication skills
  • Well-developed analytical and reporting skills
  • Self-driven & motivated
