Position

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional with demonstrated experience in the implementation of a HRIS.

Reporting to the HR Manager, the position is a 1 year contract role, with scope to extend, to coordinate the implementation of an HRIS that will support all YMCA and Social Impact business areas in the management of our most important resource - our people.

Key Responsibilities 

Working collaboratively with all stakeholders to;

  • Develop and deliver project plan
  • Scoping and planning the delivery of solutions in line with project and engagement scope
  • Cnfigure the system modules in line with HR strategy
  • Liaise  with the vendors technical team regarding the configuration of the HRIS (Connx)
  • Provide advice and support to key stakeholders utilising the HRIS
  • Assist with business process improvement, automation of processes and improve efficiencies
  • Develop the user experience for the HRIS
  • Identify, recommend and lead change management processes for the HR team to ensure that the employee experience is enhanced at every opportunity 
  • Develop system engagement, support and training tools
  • Facilitate and support training requirements for employees and managers
  • Support the HR Manager on key initiatives across the groups

Selection Criteria

To be successful in the role, you will be able to meet the following criteria:

  • 5 years minimum experience in Human Resources and ideally with exposure or experience in Payroll
  • Proven experience with HRIS implementation in a similar role supporting with development and configuration of HRIS 
  • Experience working with Payroll / HRIS systems
  • Previous experience in a Change Management or Project Management 
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent stakeholder, engagement and management skills
  • Ability to take initiative, be an analytical and lateral thinker with the desire to implement HR best practice and continually improve the HR model
  • A passionate & enthusiastic HR professional who enjoys partnering with the business 
  • Blue Card/Working with Children Check or the ability to obtain.

As part of our HR and Payroll team, the position carries significant responsibility within both the organisation and within the team. We are looking for someone who will work collaboratively within the team, who is diplomatic, flexible, adaptable and solution focused. The successful candidate must align with the YMCA's core values of Honesty, Respect, Caring and Responsibility. Candidates must have an open drivers licence and own vehicle (travel reimbursement will be provided).  The role is conveniently based in the YMCA head office in fortitude valley and close to public transport.
