We currently have an exciting position available for a Digital Learning Instructional Designer to support workforce capability building, through digital learning solutions across multiple QBE business units. As a  6 month contract this role requires a mix of project management, stakeholder engagement, e-learning and digital solution development and Instructional design.

The Opportunity:

  • Analysis of business requirements, design and develop digital learning solutions to address business requirements
  • Understand and follow guidelines for utilising LMS and deliver L&D solutions following correct process and procedure.
  • Demonstrate understanding of and guide others on Best Practice Frameworks and SME model
  • Establish, build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders to ensure customer needs are met
  • Gain and demonstrate in-depth understanding of stakeholder group including their day-to-day workflows, positions, business plan and a continued focus on QBE profit drivers.
  • Conduct training needs analysis for development for L&D sustainable solutions
  • Ability to be self directed and work well in a team setting to drive work to be delivered within timeframes
  • Contribute to and explain L&D Strategy and BU strategy and plans
  • Prioritise and recommend L&D sustainable solutions that provide the greatest impact to capability uplift and aligns with Business unit objectives.
  • Identify improvement to systems, processes and procedures

What does success look like?

  • An experienced L&D professional with a solid background in of L&D programs in medium/large businesses
  • Proven experience and sound technical skills with current eLearning technologies and in building digital learning solutions, using a variety of authoring tools (Articulate 360, Storyline, Rise, and other rapid development software applications)
  • Ideally, some experience and understanding of general insurance practices and policies across all states and territories will be ideal.
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills are essential, along with an excellent knowledge of L&D practices and adult education principles.
  • Strong analytical, Facilitation, instructional design, presentation and evaluation skills will be required to succeed in this role.
