About the role....

This position works under the supervision of the Human Resources Manager of Centacare.  The successful candidate will be responsible for driving recruitment across 37 sites within South Australia, including regional sites, be able to provide support to the Human Resources Manager and other staff in a timely, accurate and efficient manner.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Self-motivated and able to provide end-to-end recruitment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of employment legislation and award interpretation
  • Delivering timely and accurate advice
  • Driving Centacare’s recruitment service end-to-end using Expr3ss
  • Delivering timely and accurate employee relations support
  • Maintaining HR systems and reporting requirements
  • Coordinating recruitment and selection across the organisation
  • Creating and maintaining strong and professional networks to support recruitment and retention strategies
  • Supporting the HR Manager in the planning, implementation and management of HR projects
  • Working cohesively with other departments
  • Providing support, arranging training and coordinating the on / off boarding system
  • Handling sensitive information and conversations professionally
  • Ensuring training compliance and identifying training opportunities
  • Coordinating staff training
  • Providing HR advice to employees on conditions of employment, contract and award interpretation
  • Running reports as needed and identified through Expr3ss
  • The Administration and maintenance of electronic filing system
  • Leading probationary period review system
  • Monitoring and driving performance development reviews

What you will need.... 

Essential:

  • Ability to demonstrate prior experience working in a similar role (at least 3 years)
  • Computer literate intermediate to advance IT skills
  • Current DCSI child related employment screening clearance (or ability to attain a DCSI Police clearance)
  • Self-motivated, attention to detail, personable, friendly and approachable
  • Able to use initiative, work on multiple projects concurrently and work well under pressure
  • Demonstrated knowledge of employment legislation and award interpretation
  • Personable team player who enjoys a hands-on operational role
  • Succession opportunity to the HR Manager’s role
  • Be customer service focussed with a desire to set and achieve high standards of work
  • Have a pro-active approach and positive attitude
  • Be committed to continued learning
  • Be confident and have a willingness to provide guidance to others in this field

  • Ability to be flexible to meet the needs of Centacare and this position
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with sensitive information in a professional manner
  • Demonstrate levels of acceptable behaviour in line with Centacare’s Code of Conduct 

Desirable:

  • Previous use of Expr3ss and Preceda would be highly regarded
