About Them
The Company is a diverse organisation that has experienced substantial growth. They have leadership positions in a range of engineering and infrastructure segments and work across a wide range of projects including Transport, Water and Waste. The organisation gives a high priority to the successful delivery of solutions to meet their client’s needs and total turnover in projects has almost doubled over the recent period. The business employs a large workforce who are geographically dispersed and they have a culture that is down to earth, pragmatic and collaborative. 
 
About the Role
The role of HR Manager will report to the Divisional General Manager, HR and is responsible for providing high level operational support and advice to line management. Given the nature of the business and its workforce, you will help manage workplace agreement negotiations including managing EBA’s. The organisation is also looking to build and develop its workforce planning capabilities and ensure that high quality talent is identified and retained. This is a true HR generalist role which will see you working in a highly commercial environment.

About Success
To be considered for this role you will have experience in the infrastructure sector as well as a previous experience leading or assisting with negotiating EBA’s in a unionised blue collar environment.  Also, to be successful, the following is required;
  • Knowledge of HR management practices, ideally in the Construction/Engineering industry.
  • Excellent relationship management skills.
  • High level of initiative and strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated experience in understanding the commercial impacts of advice.
  • A pragmatic approach and strong influencing skills.
  • A dynamic and commercial approach to HR service delivery; and
  • A Degree in Law, HR or related discipline
Note some travel nationally will be required.
