Allied Express is a privately owned national transport and logistics business with an extremely impressive and diverse client base. Our delivery fleet comprises sub-contractor owner drivers, and this role is focused on the recruitment, induction, training and retention of our drivers.

The primary focus of this role will be:

• Management of the fleet staff in each state.
• Recruitment and induction of new sub-contractor owner drivers; and
• Retention of existing sub-contractor owner drivers

We require a National Recruitment Manager with previous experience in the recruitment industry within the transport sector, sales and owner drivers

Your national responsibilities will include:

• Management of advertising, recruiting and inducting drivers;
• Retention of existing drivers;
• Managing driver fleet numbers on road, including daily targets and ongoing budgets;
• Maintenance of driver earnings;
• Management of the fleet departments in each branch.
• Asset management control (PDA etc.)
• Maintaining fleet presentation;
• Working together as a team with the operations room.

You will be highly motivated, be honest, and have integrity and leadership qualities, and will have:

• Excellent communication skills;
• People and time management skills;
• Ability to work in a team environment;
• Good customer service skills;
• Thorough knowledge of same day courier and taxi truck services;
• Empathy to help the driver to achieve his/her desired earning level.

Previous experience in the same day courier and taxi truck industry is an advantage.
