We are seeking an enthusiastic Talent Acquisition Coordinator to join the People and Performance team, supporting one of Deloitte’s dynamic business units.

About the role:

Due to some team movements we have two roles available to be based in Sydney or Melbourne. These roles are both for 6 month periods initially. The primary focus is supporting the talent acquisition team in their efforts to attract and select the best talent for our business. This is an exceptional opportunity to gain experience and exposure into best practice Talent Acquisition and develop your career.

Key duties include:

In this fast paced role, you'll be joining a team of passionate, innovative, social savvy talent acquisition professionals who are focused on attracting the best talent as well as delivering market leading talent acquisition strategies and projects. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing full recruitment services including screening and assessing active applications, creating job adverts, scheduling interview, and conducting reference checks
  • Identifying areas of opportunity for greater efficiencies and improvements
  • Increasing candidate care; providing timely feedback
  • Building productive and collaborative relationships with key members of the national People and Performance team and firm wide support functions as well as our key internal stakeholders
  • Maintaining the candidate recruitment management system (currently Taleo) including distribution of correspondence and producing reports
  • Participating in both team and cross-functional projects, particularly in the areas of operational excellence
  • Other administration as needed i.e. checking work rights, database management

About you:

You have at least one year of professional experience, and you are looking to take your career to the next level where there are future career prospects. You will ideally be able to demonstrate:

  • If you love to organise, schedule and co-ordinate a group of people and are currently in a co-ordinator, PA or team assistant role with a passion for recruitment this could be a great opportunity for you.
  • We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-starter with a desire to join a high performance environment focused on people. You must pride yourself on your love of technology, have exceptional computer skills, strong communication (verbal and written), exceptional attention to detail and impeccable organisational skills.
  • You have strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and experience using Taleo or another RMS would be adventageous.
  • You are comfortable operating within an ambiguous and dynamic business environment, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Above all, your positive, outgoing nature, excellent people skills teamed with the ability to priortise will be the key to your success in this rewarding role.
