About the opportunity

The Recruitment Sourcing Specialist is a newly created role critical to attracting and recruiting top talent and diverse candidates for the Alcoa of Australia business in both blue and white-collar roles. The purpose of this role is to identify both active and passive candidates to fill the organisation’s diversity and talent gaps by using a variety of sourcing techniques on social networks, resume data bases, referrals and other targeted methods. The location for this role will be split between our corporate offices in Booragoon and Peel.

About you

You will be expected to build networks at career events, search for potential hires through individual connections (i.e. new employees), be familiar with online and offline sourcing techniques and resume databases, with a view to bring in talented and diverse candidates.  You will be accountable for entry level talent and pipeline projects; set the branding and sourcing strategy to contribute to the diversity targets and build talent pipelines for our future hiring needs.

You will have a high level of knowledge, experience and interest in talent sourcing strategies and processes to build and deliver talent pools and pipelines for the business.  The ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation, as well as a good understanding of industry trends and markets is required.   A degree in Human Resources or similar along with 5 plus years of recruitment experience is essential.  To be successful in this role experience as an agency recruiter is critical however, in-house recruitment experience in the manufacturing or heavy industry would be well regarded. 

About where you will work

Alcoa of Australia’s head office is located in Booragoon, approximately 15 kilometres south of Perth’s central business district. Approximately 150 employees provide corporate services, including finance, procurement, information technology, environmental management and corporate affairs, to Alcoa’s businesses locally and world-wide.

Alcoa’s Peel regional office is located in the town of Pinjarra, approximately 85 kilometres south of Perth and just 20 minutes from the coastal city of Mandurah. Approximately 80 employees provide essential support services to Alcoa’s Australian and global businesses.
