About The Role

Training Coordinator- SRDC | A Fresh New Direction

Directly reporting to Training Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient day to day running of training and induction programs at the Sydney Regional DC whilst having the support of workplace coaches who will facilitate the training packages.

The Training Coordinator is responsible and accountable for the completion and record management associated with training. Whilst being hands on influencing a dedicated team of workplace coaches, you will also need to understand ‘the big picture’ and have the ability to positively influence and engage with our DC Teams, contractors and visitors.

The ability to balance many priorities will be key to your success.

A summary of responsibilities will include however not be limited to:


 

  • Promoting and coordinating our industry leading induction programs for all Team Members, Contractors and Visitors to our Distribution Centre

  • Arranging and rostering Workplace Coaches

  • Coordinate multi skilled training for Team Members

  • Assisting Operations to ensure Team Members competently transition to new equipment

  • Upskilling our Workplace Coaches to deliver new training material

  • Assisting the coordination and support of Workplace Coaches acting as the liaison between Operations and Workplace Coaches.

  • Coaching mentoring and development of Workplace Coaches

  • Coordinating training from the SRDC Training Matrix

  • Maintaining  accurate records using Pyramid, WMS, Google suite of programs  

  • Liaise with key stakeholders to develop training material

Together with demonstrated success in a similar role and your ability to influence , we are seeking the following skills and experience:  

  • Operational experience within Supply Chain

  • People management experience

  • Practical experience in managing quality systems aligned to our regulatory authority and compliance (Safety, WQA etc.)

  • A background in delivering training and coordinating teams

  • An understanding of organisational culture and the role of training and induction

  • Coaching and mentoring behaviours

  • Proven history in planning prioritisation and problem solving skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • A high attention to detail including accurate preparation of reports as required

  • A strong commitment to safety and associated behaviours

  • Computer literacy including knowledge of Pyramid, WMS, Google suite of programs

  • Is approachable and available, provides guidance, support and can deliver feedback

  • Can maintain strong and influencing relationships with key stakeholders

  • Ability to ensure proper document retention and control across multiple systems

  • Resilient and seeks to build that capability in others

  • Demonstrates honesty and integrity in all interactions, commitments and decision making
