Our company is seeking a full-time HR Officer/ Administrator to join our HR team of 2 based in Clayton South.  Reporting directly to the HR Manager, you will facilitate daily HR functions like keeping track of employee records and ensure that all HR requirements are completed accurately within the set timelines.  You will work along with the Payroll Manager/ HR Co-Ordinator to offer our managers and wider business the ‘people management support’ they need to be effective in their roles and activities.

Some of your tasks will include:

  • Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provide assistance
  • Maintain records of personnel-related data (payroll, personal information, leaves, turnover rates etc.) in both paper and the database and ensure all employment requirements are met
  • Maintain Sage ESS portal and set up new employees, make required changes as required
  • Update organisation charts and office lay outs
  • Manage new starter inductions, name plate preparations, new files etc.
  • Service Award preparations
  • OHS involvement incl. RTW co-ordination
  • Support the recruitment/hiring process by preparing and issuing employment contracts, new employee documentation and welcome packs
  • Manage the probationary review process
  • Assist in Performance review process – Collate information and summarise for training requirements etc.
  • Update and maintain training records 
  • Provide back up for payroll

The successful applicant will have...

  • Degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management or equivalent
  • 2-3 years HR experience
  • OHS exposure an advantage
  • Ability to handle data confidentially
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Some experience and knowledge of Payroll would be an advantage
  • Proficient Excel & Word skills
