Torque Recruitment Group are currently seeking an HSEQ Officer in Toowoomba QLD on a renewable project working for a sub-contractor. For this position we are seeking applicants local to the Toowoomba area.

Our client is well regarded, and people focused striving to create a positive change on the way people view energy, they have recently won a new contracts and are requiring additions to their team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake risk assessments across all areas of the business and coordinate implementation of control measures
• HSEQ Filing
• Maintain Training Records
• Contribute to optimal business performance through the review, development, implementation and maintenance of the safety management system
• HSEQ reporting
• Weekly Inspections
• Conduct inductions and inspections to ensure consistent compliance within the operation
• Act in a manner that seeks to enhance the safety culture
• Ensure that the business can operate with confidence accounting for risk by assisting in the coordination and maintenance of the site risk management function, including completion of reviews in a timely manner
• Assisting the site HSEQ Manager, helping with some aspects of admin / inductions
• Hours will be Monday to Saturday, 10 hour days
• You will be required to visit other sites of our clients within QLD

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in Occupational Safety & Health or similar
• Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment
• 5 years in an HSEQ position
• First Aid certificate preferred but not essential
• Demonstrated understanding and application or relevant legislation
