What's the opportunity?

We are currently searching for an experienced HR Superintendent to join our Perth team and provide support the GM – People & Culture in setting up the HR framework and work stream for the Sunrise Project. The role will be involved in identification of resources and timescales required and will feed into the overall project management team and business units.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring delivery to agreed HR objectives, obligations, requirements, schedules, costs, risks and resources.
  • Establish, control and monitor project timescales and any relevant budgets, obtaining appropriate approvals and authorisations, considering dependencies and taking appropriate action to overcome delays, difficulties or cost overruns.
  • Ensuring requirements are accurately captured and any solutions are appropriately developed to support the business and the HR team.
  • Provide direction and support to ensure a smooth project initiation enabling any relevant HR or business budget approval and project prioritisation.
  • Liaise with headline constructor/contractor to ensure an agreed robust strategy and plan for mobilisation and demobilisation of Sunrise Project human resources
  • To maintain good relationships with all stakeholders, particularly the community in which Sunrise Operates
  • Ensure that all HR/IR project risks are understood, communicated and mitigation strategies identified, minimising risk to the organisation, and maximising quality and timeliness of all deliverables.
  • Reporting of HR project status to GM – P&C and wider Clean TeQ and Alliance teams as agreed.
  • Undertake site travel as required.
  • Support the GM- P&C, the ExCo and the Senior Leadership Team with ad hoc requests as required.


What can you bring to the role?

  • 10+ years in a HR or management role in a similar environment;
  • Experience in managing multiple projects and priorities.
  • Solid experience in managing and influencing internal/external stakeholders.
  • Relevant experience in Project Execution, commissioning and ramp up within the resources sector.
  • Excellent communication skills, the ability to influence and skill to bring together individuals from across the business is essential.
  • Demonstrable experience in producing and delivering quality documentation including project plans and presentations to both internal and external customers.
  • Strong understanding of NSW regulations, project governance and controls including scope & deliverable management
  • A Relevant degree (ideally in HR/Business Management)
