The opportunity?

As part of Toll Group’s new growth strategy, an opportunity has become available within Group Human Resources for an Operations Training Specialist to support the Group Operations Training Manager in driving operational excellence through training and development for our operations across the Toll Group, specifically across road transport, customer care and warehousing.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Supporting the implementation of the operations training framework
  • Executing programs and initiatives to support safety, compliance and performance outcomes
  • Deploying a variety of learning methods to support the varied stakeholders including face to face training, use of e-learning, coaching and assessment methods.
  • Monitoring, evaluating and reporting on training program effectiveness
  • Maintaining a Toll Group Driver Program focusing on safety performance and driver effectiveness
  • Monitoring and reviewing service levels of training vendors
  • Maintaining up to date knowledge on industry standards and legal frameworks for the Transport, Warehousing and logistics sector
  • Supporting early career programs and the development of industry career paths

The ideal candidate?

The ideal candidate will have significant experience working in road transport and warehousing coupled with demonstrated experience in learning and development. They will have solid experience in the delivery of technical training coupled with strong presentation, facilitation and training skills. They will possess exceptional communication, coaching and relationship building skills along with a passion toward process improvement, operational excellence and a proven ability to deliver results.
