Our client is one of Australia's leaders in automated control positioning equipment. The business operates nationally serving clients within the resources,civil projects, infrastructure and mining sectors.The business due to growth is looking to recruit a new role Group Strategic HR Manager to assist guide the direction of employee relations, learning and development and associated programs. The role will report directly to the CFO and the successful candidate will be an integral part of the senior leadership team..

Key responsibilities will include:

 · Provide strategic direction and leadership on the development of appropriate HR Policies across the business including a strong focus on continuing Learning and Development

 · Assess current and future HR requirements to support the business to achieve “best design, practice and innovation” in recruitment, retention and education of our workforce.

· Project manage the implementation and review of HR policies

· Research the impact and need for equality and diversity in our workforce from HR perspective

· Provide strategic oversight and direction on Remuneration policy and practices including the development and administration of reward and recognition programs

· Develop appropriate employment conditions and support to remote and site workers to ensure deployed meets all the needs of the internal and external stakeholders

Monitor employment legislation developments, assess the impact on the business and develop policies to maintain legal compliance

Provide direction on staff engagement to enable regular measures and responds to staff feedback to improve the business and ensures we are seen as a place to work

Liaise with line managers for effective performance management, coaching and mentoring

 · Play a central role, in conjunction with the CFO and senior leadership team in forward planning and strategy development within the business.

· Provide oversight of the businesses approach to job evaluation to maintain consistency and fairness and assess appropriate methodologies for implementation

· Provide guidance on the interpretation and application of HR policies and procedures within the business including IR

· Critically assess and develop policies in line with internal and external influences, particularly taking account of the local and international perspectives

· Develop a co-ordinated and consistent approach to the way in which the business engages with all staff directly and indirectly

· Lead development of policies which promote equality & diversity across the business

 · Benchmark and modernise terms and conditions of employment within the business reflecting changes in workforce behaviours to maximise our effective staff utilisation.

· To undertake other duties as identified by the CFO, senior leadership team and the board

The successful candidate will have worked driving Strategic HR change and improvements within a mid - enterprise or enterprise business. You will be a strong communicator and be an influencer. You will have a strong background  in generalist HR, a Learning and Development skill set and have been working strategically to make significant improves to people and culture. 

The  suitable candidate will have a relevant degree or similar and good understanding of full HR function. Your ability to think strategically, plan and execute results and improvements should be highlighted in your response.
