Purpose of the role
Support a range of day to day human resource functions and add value to the People and Performance team as well as the wider business. You will give proactive advice to managers and coach them through a variety of cases involving best practice across the entire employee lifecycle. We are looking for someone who can grow into a senior human resources lead
Individual Accountabilities
- Recommending and implementing HR policies and practices in line with Ingham’s group strategies and objectives
- Coaching stakeholders on best practice HR/ER/IR and supporting managers through performance management, employee/union relations matters and application of company policies and procedures
- Interpret and advise on enterprise agreement (EA) and award application
- Support and participate in local and interstate EA negotiations, including leading negotiations for smaller scale EAs and drafting of EAs, fostering productive union relationships
- Leading investigations into employee matters
- Leading restructuring and major change processes from end-to-end, including consultation and communication processes
- Case management of employment litigation matters
- Partnering with key stakeholders across Australia and New Zealand to implement HR initiatives that support high performing people, including leadership development and succession planning
- Contributing positively to the team environment fostering open communication and actively seeking feedback; Participating in development opportunities, coaching conversations and taking responsibility for own growth
- Running our company induction with all employees and assisting with any roll out of national training from the Human Resources team
Shared Accountabilities
- Partner with Head of Corporate HR, Group Industrial Relations and Group Talent and Capability Manager to deliver the HR Strategy
- Producing monthly performance reports
Experience/Skills Required
- Experience in the negotiation, review and interpretation of Enterprise Agreements and industrial instruments
- High level of proficiency in advising on HR/IR/ER policy and best practise and legislation. Experience conducting investigations from notification through to completion
- Confident in an environment that requires you manage conflicting priorities and the ability to learn new tasks quickly
- Excellent communication skills with the passion to build relationships with remote stakeholders
- Intermediate excel capabilities teamed with analytical skills to be able to look at large amounts of data and turn it into a useful snap shot of information
- Desire/Learn to engage an audience and to present information
- The ability to self-manage, with little direction on a day to day basis and to work closely with peers to design and develop robust business solutions
Qualifications/Licences
- Full Driving license
- HR / IR or Law degree
