The position:

Benetas is passionate about providing our clients with the best possible experience. To achieve this, we are seeking a talented HR Business Partner with HR generalist and employee relations background.

Reporting to the HR Manager, you will join a talented team with varied backgrounds who can support your development. As a HR Business partner, you will be responsible for providing HR support and advice to staff, managers and the Executive team. You will work closely with your client managers to improve people performance and support positive workplace cultures that feature quality customer service.

Our HR team is highly respected and works in true partnership with the business. Our HR Business Partners have recently been involved in some exciting organisational wide projects such as workforce planning for a new Aged Care facility, an amalgamation with a community services organisation, introduction of a new Recruitment Onboarding and Offboarding system and introduction of a new rostering system.

The position is located at our Support Office in Hawthorn East, just 10 kilometres from the Melbourne CBD. Some travel to our 13 residential sites and home care offices acoss Victoria is expected (there is little overnight travel required).

Your responsibilities:

  • Support and coach operational managers on HR matters in line with company values and culture. Especially in performance management, grievances and other ER issues
  • Manage people-related projects, process improvements and change initiatives
  • Provide advice, training and guidance on policies, procedures, legislation and enterprise agreements to internal stakeholders
  • Assist with recruitment initiatives including project managing relevant vacancies
  • Contribute to wider projects such as workforce planning, attraction and retention strategies and employee engagement.

You will have:

  • Qualifications in human resources or employee relations (or equitable experience)
  • Experienced in employee relations and providing advice to operational managers
  • Proven ability to lead change projects and engage stakeholders
  • Experience in investigating and resolving employee relations matters
  • Ability to develop relationships and work confidently with people at all levels.
  • The capacity to deal with multiple, and often competing priorities
  • A high degree of drive and initiative, and a strong focus on delivering results.
