Our client, a nation-wide industrial plant, is looking for an enthusiastic and innovative HR Business Partner to come on board on a 12 month contract as the organisation steps forward towards a new organisational goal. As many organisations reach this point, it is important to ensure the executive managers are working in a cohesive leadership team environment. That is where you come in, as the HR Business Partner, you report to the Group HR Manager and will provide business focused, continual improvement and development of operational human resources services in line with the Company’s vision and strategy
About You
You are not afraid to get your hands dirty. Literally. You want to know and understand the workforce and be able to identify strengths and areas of development and sometimes areas that are not suitable for development. You pride yourself on empowering the workforce and providing guidance and support for continual improvement and development.
You have a strong strategic approach and are not afraid to voice your opinions and concerns and be able to validate your strategies that align with company direction.
You are a friendly human being and will walk the floor to say good morning to everyone to ensure strong stakeholder relationships with all.
Along with these desired attributes, the following are essential:
- Highly self-motivated
- Conflict management skills
- Strong coaching ability
- Advanced written, verbal and presentation skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan, prioritise and make decisions
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills, word and excel
- Advanced attention to detail and the ability to apply good judgment when making decisions
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and change
- Confidence with communicating to different audiences at different levels across the business
- Display a high level of emotional intelligence, including Resilience, Influencing skills, and Effective interactions that build strong relationships
- Experience in design and development of HR systems
- 5 years’ experience in generalist HR advisory role(s) (preferably blue collar environment)
- A tertiary qualification is desired but not essential
