About the Role:

In conjunction with the Group WHS&E Manager maintain the safety management systems and best practice work health and safety initiatives. Develop, implement and support strategies to ensure compliance with legislative and other compliance frameworks. Support the implementation of INENCO's health and safety objectives by driving cultural change through the facilitation of effective partnerships across the business. Support the implementation of strategies to achieve continuous improvement in the work health and safety function.

Responsibilities in this position include but are not limited to;

  • Conduct safety audits/inspections as required to assist in ensuring continuous improvement
  • Assist with the development of safe work instructions, safe work procedures and safe work operating procedures
  • Travel to different sites within Queensland and possible into NSW
  • Assist in the development, implementation, evaluation, review and improvement of the works compensation claims management/administration policies, procedures and processes.
  • Liaise with and provide advise to manager/supervisors
  • Assist with incident investigations and make recommendations in relation to corrective actions
  • Ensuring compliance with the relevant legislation, regulations, performance standards and government policies
  • Establishing and maintain effective communication and working relationships with all stakeholders

About the candidate:

  • Certificate IV in WHS or diploma as a minimum
  • 2 years minimum experience in WHS AND 1-year minimum Return to Work ticket experience
  • Proven experience in development and implication of safe work instructions
  • Good communications and written skills
  • Experience in work place safety, incident reporting and investigations
  • Experience in completing workplace safety audits/inspections
  • Familiar in workers compensation claims
