Our client is seeking an experienced Safety and Training Coordinator to join their busy team based in the western suburbs. Your main responsibilities will be to support, train, educate and enhance existing skill levels of site based employees. 

Key responsibilities of the position include:

• Conducting practical work method demonstrations and assessments 
• Generating and updating support documentation 
• Supporting site leaders and management across a range of safety initiatives, offering tools, process enhancements and expertise
• Assessing competency across a range of high risk activities and maintaining the competency register
• Coordinating activities for new employees such as on the job training etc
• Conducting weekly site safety assessments
• Delivering clear and concise presentations
• Initiating and following up continuous safety improvement
• Optimising and streamlining processes
• Maintaining and updating SOP's, templates, records and files

To be considered for this role you will possess:

• Previous experience in a similar role 
• Exposure to risk analysis, hazard control, safe work processes and improvement methodologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Strong problem solving and analytical ability
