The Recruitment Coordinator is responsible for the end-to-end (360) recruitment of Disability Support Workers (DSWs) who provide personal care and support to clients with a physical disability, illness or injury in their private homes and community.

Our organisation is going through significfant change and improvements and this role is perfect for someone wanting to contribute to system and process improvement. 

In this role you  will be a methodical, disciplined and talented recruiter with a passion for continous improvement and quality candidate placement. You will be capable of working independently and managing your time and routine as well as work as part of the team in the performance of specified tasks.

In this role, some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Liaise directly with Service Partnership Coordinators and Qualcare clients in relation to meeting their program recruitment needs and casual pool needs.
  • Prepare internal vacancy tracking list for office use and distribution to community based Disabiltiy Support Workers.
  • Write and place job advertisements
  • Coordinate and conduct robust phone screening and lead group interview sessions 
  • Conduct reference checks and mandatory compliance checks – such as National police checks, VEVO (Visa work rights) checks and DIsability Worker Exclusion Scheme name checks
  • Lead the completion of new employee paperwork - creating new employee files and enter new employee details into the operating database.
  • Coordinate the Disability Support Worker Recruitment Strategy - leading creative and proactive attraction techniques that contribute to sound workforce planning strategy 
  • Maintenance of the client/DSW database including entering, updating and maintaining the Disability Support Workers database information and other documentation as required.
  • Work closely with the Leadership team and colleagues in exploring and implementing recruitment / selection / onboarding efficiencies, improvements and innovation. 
  • Maintain advertising expenditure records

Key Selection Criteria:

Essential

  • Knowledge of 360 (end-to-end) recruitment & selection procedures and processes
  • Demonstrated capacity to handle multiple tasks, self-manage priorities, exceptional time management skills and achieve deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Positive, self motivated and enthusiastic attitude
  • Demonstrated customer service focus in the completion of tasks and duties
  • Ability to utilise initiative and judgment when implementing new procedures.
  • High level of computer literacy and word processing and spreadsheet skills, including proficiency in Word for Windows, Excel, and Access.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of privacy principles, confidentiality and duty of care
  • A high level of motivation and a strong problem solving ability.

Desired

  • Understanding of the issues relating to people with disabilities
  • Demonstrated experience in an office environment.
  • Experience within the community sector or hands on experience of disability support work - highly desireable
  • Awareness of budgetary processes
  • Empathetic and professional approach
