The Position
St John of God Health Care has an exciting new opportunity for a Student Placement Coordinator to join our Group Learning and Development team. The Student Placement Coordinator will work with internal and external stakeholders to develop and review policies and procedures, as well as providing support to divisions in implementing and managing a student placement management tool.
Our ideal candidate has previous experience in the health care industry, and an understanding of the requirements and challenges of working remotely within a national organisation. A Certificate IV in training and assessment (or similar), or willingness to complete will be viewed favourably.
This position will be offered on a permanent full time basis, with 76 hours per fortnight (1.0FTE) on offer for the successful candidate.
The successful candidate will have:

- An empathetic understanding of the challenges facing students.
- Ability to maintain student placement or equivalent allocation databases.
- Well-developed written, numerical and verbal communication and customer service skills with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- Attention to detail highly developed organisational and time management skills working within tight timeframes and ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks.
- Effective relationship management and negotiation skills to create positive relationships.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Ability to development of simple instructions and evidence of providing training on software tools using online software (training conducted via Webex, Skype, etc).
- Flexibility to travel will be required.
