About the Role

  •  The Senior Human Resource Business Partner (SHRBP) collaborates closely with key designated portfolios and the specialist functions within the Workforce People and Culture Directorate, to maximise the organisation?s human capital, through implementation of its objectives.
  • The SHRBP works collaboratively with the Lead HRBP, Portfolio HRBP?s and senior leaders to develop a HR agenda which supports the achievement of the overall objective of a designated portfolio.   The SHRBP will take a lead role on project delivery as well as coaching and mentoring HR Business Partners ensuring consistently high standards of HR service delivery.

  • The role coordinates the development and implementation of HR solutions, aligned with business objectives, which addresses key workforce challenges for the medium and long-term. The role is to promote HR practices and people management to achieve organisational success

Selection Criteria to be addressed:

  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management, Employee Relations, Business, other relevant field and /or professional experience in human resources management in a large diverse service industry organisation.
  2. Ability to work independently with limited direction as to work priorities with demonstrated experience managing and meeting deadlines whilst maintaining meticulous attention to detail and meet predetermined targets and deadlines, whilst being flexible and able to adapt work practices to suit circumstances.
  3. Proven ability to apply knowledge of employment legislation, awards and agreements, policies and best practice to identify and resolve complex workforce issues.
  4. Highly developed interpersonal communication, business acumen and consulting and negotiation skills with the proven capacity to provide authoritative advice and maintain appropriate and credible relationships at senior levels
  5. Demonstrated experience in a true business partnering environment, developing and implementing strategic HR solutions that align with business objectives to address key workforce challenges in the medium to long term.
  6. Highly developed negotiation and influencing skills, with the purpose of achieving demonstrable outcomes.
  7. Sound knowledge of the legislative and regulative requirements relating to human resources management and industrial/employee relations, and the ability to provide practical advice on Human Resources matters demonstrating adherence to legislation and policies.
  8. Demonstrated leadership and management skills to motivate and influence others in an environment of change, understand interpersonal conflict, identify effective strategies for resolution and support HRBP?s and cluster leaders to achieve positive outcomes.
