An exciting position has become available at Piacentini & Son’s head office based near Bunbury, WA for a Training Manager to join our Team. The Training Manager will coordinate the training function across the Company ensuring quality delivery and administration ensuring a best practice approach is in place to meet and align with the Company needs.
About the Organisation:
Piacentini & Son is an earthmoving and mining contractor specialising in bulk earthworks, heavy haulage transportation, rehabilitation, dry-hire equipment, mining and earthmoving services based in Western Australia and have operations across the Country.
With approximately 750 staff across our projects, this is an opportunity for a qualified individual to join our reputable Company and take control of the Training function providing Leadership, knowledge and support.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Lead the development and implementation of our training framework ensuring it meets all relevant standards including AQTF
- Ensure the continuous improvement of training and work with the sites to establish or improve standards for operational excellence
- Maintain the integrity of all training documentation through regular auditing, follow-up and coaching with sites
- Mentor and coach trainers as required to ensure coverage across all sites and compliance against the training framework
- Coordinate and report on the delivery of all legislative and compliance training
- Review training materials and ensure their compliance with AQTF Standards,
Key factors to your success include:
- Tertiary qualification in Training or similar would be highly regarded
- Demonstrated experience in the development of training frameworks, training coordination, project management
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment essential
- Minimum 5+ years within the mining or heavy industrial industry
- Previous experience providing supervision of training, as per AQTF requirements, across a heavy-industry operation would be highly desirable
