The position of Senior Workplace Relations Advisor forms a part of the Workplace Relations & Safety Branch in People & Workplace Services Division within the Corporate Services Group.
Corporate Services actively supports Ministers and DEDJTR portfolio groups to create the conditions for sustainable economic development and employment growth. The Group works collaboratively to deliver integrated and operational functions across the department, leading the development of governance, people, culture, systems and capability.
It comprises Financial Management; Ministerial and Portfolio Services; People and Workplace Services; Strategic Procurement; Technology Services; Service Centre and Office of the Chief Corporate Strategy Officer.
Corporate Services deliver service excellence through collaboration with DEDJTR partners, stakeholders and clients.
The position is responsible for the delivery of advice and consultancy services on a wide range of workplace relations activities, including providing strategic and tactical advice and support on workplace relations matters within the department and portfolio agencies. This position will also act as the Review of Actions Registrar for the department.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Demonstrated experience, and a record of achievement, in managing complex human resource and/or workplace relations issues in the public sector environment.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of the legislative, regulatory and industrial instruments relating to employment in the Victorian Public Service.
- High level ability to provide consultancy and advice to internal stakeholders on a range of complex issues.
