People & Culture Team
The People and Culture team is responsible for the internal development and support of the organisation. From recruitment to growth management to leadership development, this team is measured by the health of the organisation. The implementation of new and innovative organisational systems is essential to the rapid growth of the organisation and it's people.
Role Responsibilities
- To lead the recruitment and selection of talented people to join the organisation through the top-grading methodology or other such successful recruitment methods.
- Drive the development and implementation of the Performance Management Program which covers keys areas including:
- Professional development and career planning pathways
- KPI and performance goal setting for functional teams and project teams
- Annual pay and performance review process
- Feedback systems and employee satisfaction surveys
- Conduct onboarding sessions with new staff members and act as a support person for the duration of their trial period to ensure long lasting success for that person and their future employment.
- Develop the overarching “people strategy” that both supports and enhances the over all organisational strategy, and be the champion who drives and implements the people strategy throughout the organisation
- Identify gaps in current human resource processes and policies and work to ensure these are remedied so as to create a solid foundation for the growing organisation going forward
- Support staff in an operational basis with queries and concerns, creating a central point of communication for HR related enquiries.
- Manage governmental accounts and applications regarding a range of initiatives such as Parental Leave, VISA applications.
- Manage any grievance and disciplinary issues, and advise People & Culture manager on such issues.
- Be the organisation’s authority regarding employment law, and provide advice on both domestic and international employment situations.
- Manage employee communication and feedback through various avenues to ensure positive and transparent communication to facilitate organisational efficiency.
- Monitor Fusion’s organisational culture so that is supports the attainment of stated organisational values and strategic goals.
- Complete regular audits to ensure that employee files, contracts and other documentation such as policies are kept up to date.
- Ensure the full development and optimization of the internal Fusion HR system (named “CORE”).
Role Requirements
- Tertiary education in the field of Human Resource Management or similar.
- At least 5 years’ experience as a HR manager, with significant experience in recruitment and onboarding, with stand-alone responsibility for HR strategy and policy, recruitment, training and development, performance management and employee relations.
- Demonstrable ability to manage a high workload in addition to well-developed interpersonal, leadership, communication and IT skills.
- Proven ability to make a significant contribution to the development of policy or strategy is a key requirement.
- Knowledge, or an ability to rapidly acquire knowledge, of Australian and International employment law
- Demonstrable experience of development and management of HR systems
- Ability to supervise and manage own and others’ workloads
- Ability to work on own initiative with strong multitasking capabilities
- Exceptional organisational skills with ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise tasks effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly with a range of different stakeholders.
- Presentation skills are essential.
- Excellent written communication skills with proven experience in a variety of written forms including policy documents, web content, correspondence and business cases.
- Attention to detail is essential.
Additional Details
This position will initially be part-time with the ideal candidate available to either work 3 days per week or 24hrs across 5 days. There will be scope in the future for full time work as the needs of the organisation grow. The salary $75,000-$80,000 is pro rata ($45,000-$50,000 for 0.6FTE).
