Who is the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator?
The National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) commenced operations in 2013 as an independent body responsible for regulating all vehicles in Australia over 4.5 tonnes gross vehicle mass. Located in Brisbane, the NHVR minimises the compliance burden on the heavy vehicle transport industry, reduces duplication and inconsistencies across state and territory borders, and ultimately for the heavy vehicle business with government in Australia.
Primary Objectives
Contribute and deliver a broad range of workplace health & safety and contemporary human resources including:
- Assist with the development and implementation of Workplace Health & Safety and Human Resource policies and procedures.
- Provide expert advice and assistance in relation to workplace health and safety and human resource functions.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential to the Role
Minimum of 5 years in WHS & HR roles providing advice, interpretating, legislation and developing policy and procedures.
Highly Regarded
WH&S and/or Human Resource qualifications
The successful candidate will be required to undergo criminal history and background checks. All NHVR employees are required to comply with legislative and regulatory requirements and NHVR policies and management standards.
