The Opportunity

We have some newly created opportunities within Pacific National that will see you accountable for a range of HR generalist activities.  As a HR professional you will play a vital role in partnering with and providing guidance to our business leaders and employees on a range of aspects including but not limited to Recruitment, Onboarding, Performance Management and Development, Employee Relations, Organisational Capability and Workforce Strategy. The role is a rare opportunity to not only support a vast array of functional and blue collar operational roles but also working closely with our Head of HR!  

What will you be doing?

  • Providing day to day HR Generalist advice, supporting and coaching our line managers through EEO matters, conducting investigations and making recommendations. Further, contribute to the development, implementation and monitoring of policies and procedures based on relevant industrial agreements and/or legislation and HR management practices.
  • Managing the Recruitment and Selection process including advice and support to line managers, development of job description, advertisement, interviewing, reference checking through to offers of employment.
  • Assisting in developing HR documentation and assisting in monitoring workplace compliance.
  • Contributing data to the talent review cycle that includes performance management, talent reviews, succession plans, career development planning and diversity and inclusion in collaboration with the HR Business Partners.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Understands the business partnering model and the value add in delivering this relationship to the business.
  • Has sound understanding of HR policy, employment law and employee relations; with demonstrated behaviours that are aligned with best practice and our values.
  • Is a confident problem solver, capable decision maker and have strong communication skills to enable you to identify opportunities and ability to implement change with other stakeholders.
  • Qualifications in Human Resources or other related disciplines, or experience in a related role is essential. As well as working with a complex operating environment.
