The Company

The client is seeking a true expert in Learning and Development to assist with the sustainability and growth of the company. This is a newly created position within an award winning national not-for-profit organisation based in Richmond.

 

The Role

Working closely with the Executive Director of People, Learning and Culture and General Manager of Human Resources, your main responsibility will be to ensure the workforce is adequately skilled and educated to meet the current and future needs of the communities and the company's learning stakeholders.

You will be required to provide your expertise with training and assessment to ensure it's alignment with organisational strategy and deliver relevant education programs to assist with the attraction and retention of the workforce.

Your main responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Determine and monitor organisational and individual development needs
  • Conduct training needs analysis to ensure L&D activities meet strategic business needs
  • Align learning programs to meet growth and turnover forecasts
  • Coordinate workforce planning and analyse feedback
  • Lead, coach and mentor a team of Learning Business Partners
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders such as academic providers
  • Manage budget and monitor return on investment of L&D activities
  • Provide support and training with change management
  • Governance reporting
  • Work Health and Safety assessments

 

What will I need to succeed?

  • Proven experience in a Learning and Development Management position
  • Relevant tertiary qualification and/or Post Graduate is highly desirable
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment would be highly advantageous
  • Ability to negotiate, influence and liaise to achieve desired outcomes
  • Be collaborative and build relationships with key stakeholders and peers
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Experience leading and coaching a team
  • Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information exercising the highest degree of discretion
