The role:

Veolia is seeking an energetic HR professional focused on People, Performance and Culture within our Western Australian operations. Based at our Jandakot office, you will business partner with people managers to assist the employee life cycle and achieve a high performance, focused, accountable and inclusive culture.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive people performance review strategy
  • Champion and implement strategies to achieve a high performance and inclusive culture
  • Identify, develop and implement people & culture initiatives that support the strategic goals of Veolia
  • Manage talent and succession management reviews
  • Lead employee engagement initiatives 
  • Review and implement graduate, trainee, and apprentice programmes 
  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract and retain talent
  • Lead diversity and inclusion activities 
  • Foster standardization and best practice people processes
  • Coach people leaders in contemporary people management  
  • Design, deliver and evaluate learning & development offerings that align with and support the needs of the individual, team and Veolia

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing people, performance and culture initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience in business partnering with middle to senior people leaders
  • Strong understanding of relevant employment legislation, market practice and principles of employee relations
  • Commercial mindset around HR with creative, solution-oriented problem solving to work with stakeholders to find workable outcomes
  • Analysis, empathy, data and good judgement to approach business and people problems
  • Strategic thinking with a bias towards action
