  • On-going full-time position located close to Petersham train station
  • On-going full-time position, located in 2 Trafalgar St, Petersham (close to station, shopping centre, parks, public transport)
  • Help shape our organisations and workforce to enable the Transport cluster to be future-ready and support agencies to implement workforce strategies and solutions
  • Contribute to and support the creation of an engaged culture across the cluster

The opportunity
The Associate Director Systems and Corporate Programs provides strategic leadership and learning expertise across the Transport cluster for disciplines which include but are not limited to:

  • ICT
  • Compliance and conduct
  • Onboarding
  • Contracts management
  • Finance

 
Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide discipline thought-leadership and learning expertise across Transport on global best practice learning solutions and frameworks which enable business effectiveness and transformation
  • Facilitate cross-cluster capability communities of practice, networks and events in the relevant disciplines
  • Lead the provision of a proactive curation of learning 'offerings' which enable the people and business workforce and capability strategies in those disciplines. 

It is expected that the successful incumbent be highly regarded and a seasoned professional with extensive practical success facilitating large scale capability shifts across these disciplines.

 

Extensive knowledge of frameworks and methodologies and connections to industry and professional networks and communities or practice are also key requirements.

About us
Learning and Development is responsible for building the capability strategy and needs of the Transport cluster. They:

  • Lead the partnering with industry and education sectors to meet the emerging capability and competency needs of Future Transport
  • Lead the design and delivery of learning programs to meet the current and future needs of the cluster
  • Manage the delivery of learning programs by internal and external learning and development suppliers
  • Lead the implementation of high quality learning programs that builds a skilled and capable workforce.

Essential requirements 

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or relevant equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience in developing education and training program requirements of the nominated disciplines in a complex environment and strong understanding of regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the delivery of end to end program management in one or more of the nominated discipline areas.
