My client is an institutional equity fund manager based on Collins St in Melbourne CBD. 

Due to continuing business growth, a newly created position has been made for a Human Resource Manager to support the growth and development of this highly engaged team. The team currently stands at 40 staff members and will aim grow steadily over the coming years.

This position is a part-time position, ideally working 5 days per week, though there is the ability to accomodate for a 3-4 day working week, for the right candidate. 

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Human Resources Manager will support the firm's strategic Talent Management initiatives and carry out ongoing HR management functions. 

Upon successful hire you will be responsible for: 

  • Conducting Talent Management and succession planning, and incorporating training and development;
  • Ensuring Pay and Bonus levels and structure continue to be competitive and support the business strategy;
  • Developing a recruitment pipeline and process to allow the firm to attract, on-board and develop key talent;
  • Performing ongoing reviews of position descriptions and role expectations to evolve our performance management framework and processes;
  • Introducing and overseeing wellness and related programs;
  • Acting as a trusted contact point for staff on HR-related matters; and
  • Updating and maintaining HR policies and related training.

The ideal candidate will have: 

  • 7+ years experience within Human Resources, gained locally. 
  • Experience within the Financial Services sector, ideally within Funds Management, or similar. 
  • Experience in working in smaller sized firms, ideally less than 200 staff members. 
  • Experience working in a stand-alone HR role. 
  • Full-working rights - employer sponsorship is unfortunately not possible.
