About the opportunity
Reporting to the HSE Risk & Assurance Manager, we have an opportunity available for a HSE Risk & Assurance Analyst to join us for a 06 month fixed term contract with the flexibility of the role been based in either our Melbourne CBD or North Sydney office.
The HSE Risk & Assurance Analyst main responsibility is to provide subject matter expertise in the field of HSE/Operational Risk to proactively identify opportunities to improve performance across Jemena and to contribute towards a HSE ‘Centre of Excellence’.
The HSE Risk & Assurance Analyst is accountable for the design and continual improvement of the HSE Risk and Assurance Framework and HSE Risk Profile. This is done through the proactive identification and analysis of HSE risks and critical controls, relevant lead and lag data, internal and external influences and the provision of recommended advice.
What we’re looking for
The successful candidate will be tertiary qualified, preferably with an Occupational Health & Safety qualification. The candidate has proven experience in an operational or HSE risk management role within the utilities/energy sector or a similar industry.
Other competencies, skills and experience required include;
- Experience in the identification, design, delivery and embedment of continuous improvement projects specific to the utilities sector (or similar industry) supporting functions,
- Strong knowledge in the application of risk management techniques as they apply to HSE,
- Experience facilitating risk workshops,
- Experience in implementing, auditing and advising on requirements for certification of HSE management systems,
- Must possess the ability to influence and engage with internal and external stakeholders,
- Highly developed personal integrity, ethical standards and interpersonal skills.
This role requires someone with strong verbal and written communication skills, inclusive of report writing, training and workshop facilitation and verbal presentation.
