The Department of Planning & Environment is the lead NSW Government agency in planning for a growing NSW. The Department is going through an exciting period of organisational and operational change.

About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to join the dynamic Diversity team at DPE with a particular focus on Aboriginal initiatives. This person will have the opportunity to contribute to many sector wide diversity and inclusion initiatives to support the Department’s goals and objectives. It is ideal this individual has the ability to manage own work load, be passionate about the subject matter and have the motivation to partner with key stakeholders internal and external to the business.
 
Primary purpose of the role
The Senior Diversity Advisor is responsible for cluster wide diversity initiatives, provides strategic advice on initiatives and issues impacting staff across the Cluster and liaises with relevant staff, networks and external organisations including Aboriginal people and communities
 
Essential requirements
Proof of Aboriginality
Experience developing and implementing strategies, policies and procedures.
 
 
 
To be successful in the role, ideally you will have:
Previous experience working with other diversity groups.

Job Notes:
This is an ongoing role that is available full or part time (minimum 28 hours a week).

 
A Recruitment Pool may be established for future temporary and ongoing roles with similar focus capabilities. The Recruitment Pool may be available to hiring managers from DPE and other NSW Public Sector agencies over a 12-month period.
