Our client a leader in the aged care industry is looking for an accomplished Human Resources Business Partner to fulfil a 6 month fixed term contract for an immediate start. Candidates who have a background in Aged Care and/or Healthcare will be given preference as will someone who has good change management and IR case management experience.

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, your role will be to ensure business operations are supported by ‘best practice’ human resource management practices.

Some of your key responsibilities will be:

  • The coaching and education of frontline managers in human resource fundamentals in day-to-day workplace issues
  • Providing comprehensive advice on Awards and Enterprise Agreements
  • Providing guidance pertaining to recruitment and performance management
  • Managing ill or injured employees, workplace change and education and training needs
  • Effective management of employment related risk and ensuring this is minimised
  • Ensuring management practices are aligned with strategic people initiatives
  • Implementation of human resources strategic plans in line with organisational plans
  • Completion of project tasks as directed by the Human Resources Manager.
  • Being involved in key projects to help shape strategic HR initiatives.

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you will need to have the following experience/knowledge:

  • Demonstrated three years in dealing with employee/workplace matters including industrial relations, performance management, employee relations and change management
  • Experience in working closely with unions
  • Experience in managing client expectations and delivering outcomes in a timely manner
  • Strong ability to interpret Awards and Enterprise Agreements
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management or equivalent is essential OR
  • Post graduate studies in human resources management, workplace relations or employee relations is advantageous.

You will be an effective listener and strong communicator at all levels both orally and in writing with excellent presentation skills. You are a clear thinker and have lateral problem solving skills and an ability to convert complex ideas into simple, understandable and workable actions to ensure positive outcomes. Your ability to multitask, prioritise, and delegate will be a key strength along with your ability to lead, influence and guide others towards positive outcomes. You must be able to work well in a team environment.

This role is located in the prestigious Southbank Location. This client has a national footprint and therefore this role will require monthly interstate travel for up to 2-3 day’s.
