SALARY RANGE: $85,953 to $94,644 pa (plus 17% super)
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time (36.75 hours per week) and continuing
LOCATION: Geelong Waurn Ponds Campus or Melbourne Burwood Campus

ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role you will provide specialist advice and consultancy services to the Indigenous staff of the University and their managers on matters relating to recruitment and selection, induction, development, career planning, and retention of Indigenous staff at the University.
This will include:
- Providing specialist consultancy services and HR solutions that are innovative, strategic, practical and culturally relevant to ensure the provision of high level internal client service.
- Contributing to strategic workforce planning including analysis of workforce data, facilitation of succession and career development planning and implementation of recruitment, retention and transition strategies.
- Undertaking projects which result in improved indigenous staffing outcomes in particular, developing and facilitating the implementation of the University's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Employment Strategy.
- Building, driving and maintaining strong and successful internal and external stakeholder relationships to ensure Indigenous perspectives are being managed internally.
ABOUT YOU
- A degree in HR Management or Industrial Relations or a relevant field with relevant experience; OR substantial expertise; OR an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Experience in contributing to the development and implementation of HR initiatives to support the achievement of improved performance, cultural change, and an inclusive culture.
- Experience providing specialist advice and/or consultancy services on employment related queries and an ability to influence decisions at a senior level within an organisation.
- An established knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander societies and issues affecting Indigenous people in contemporary Australian society.
