Our client is seeking an APS5 Aurion “guru”. You will ideally have an excellent working knowledge of Aurion HRIMS. If not, you will certainly know payroll intimately, complemented with current experience across the human resources sphere of work. If you have a qualification in HR or a genuine passion to be an HR generalist then we are certainly open to discuss this great opportunity with you.

Working within the business operations area, you will be part of the professional services team to support the agency’s corporate operations and initiatives - focusing on people, capability and engagement. The required experience and knowledge will ideally come from within the Australian Public Service, however, a background within the private sector may also be considered.

You will have high levels of motivation and drive, possess well developed communication skills and have the ability to work to tight deadlines - with competing demands in a busy environment.

You must have:

  • Aurion HRIMS system experience - admin, HR metric reporting, and self service
  • Payroll experience
  • MS Excel to intermediate level
  • Ability to manage system enhancements and undertake testing
  • Develop procedural manuals and guidelines
  • System training experience assist all users as required
  • Unquestionable attention to detail
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement capability

Again, ideally you will have HR experience, but most importantly a willingness to learn other facets of HR functions.

A criterion for this role is to secure a Baseline Security Clearance.

Candidates should be aware that the security clearance process can take some time to complete. You must have the ability to obtain a baseline clearance, therefore to assist in the timely completion of the required process you will need to be an Australian citizen, have maintained Australian residency for a minimum of 10 consecutive years, or have a current clearance which is able to be re-activated.
