The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic HR professional to lead HR Operations across a diverse conference and restaurant group, in a fast paced and innovative environment. In order to excel in this challenging and rewarding role, you should have broad experience in HR in the operational, strategic and managerial space. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team you will work closely with the Executive Team and Regional Managers to support company and culture goals, providing HR advice and support, and implementing strategies to develop, train and retain proactive sales and delivery teams.

Supported by an excellent HR Administrator, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to develop their career and wants a broad role where they can work independently across all areas of HR.

You will be tertiary qualified in HR or a related discipline and have proven experience in best practice Human Resources. Exceptional leadership, communication and interpersonal skills are crucial in order to influence and execute your business focused HR solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and delivery of HR initiatives in line with the business strategy
  • Provide HR advice to the business to ensure the successful delivery of HR programmes
  • Lead, coach and provide expert HR advice to Executive and Management teams
  • Manage Attraction and Retention, On-boarding and Induction, Training and Development, Culture and Engagement
  • Align HR systems and procedures with business and people needs
  • Manage HR administration including employment contracts, letters and reports, organisational charts, position descriptions, and maintain the HRIS and employee files
  • Handle day to day employment relations matters and advise and coach managers on HR/IR/ER matters

Skills, requirements and more about you:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources
  • 6 + years demonstrated experience - preferable within the Services or Hospitality sector
  • Experience across generalist HR areas
  • Knowledge of relevant employment legislation and ability to interpret Awards and regulation
  • Ability to deal with people from varied backgrounds and cultures
  • Thrive in a fun and fast paced environment, love a challenge, people, food, hospitality and a are looking for a diverse and interesting role
