The position

We have an opportunity for a HR Officer to partner with a Senior HR Business Partner to support Cleanaway’s NSW Solids Business Unit. Your new role will be diverse and hands on giving you exposure to a range of HR Generalist functions in a blue collar environment. Working onsite in an industrial environment you will be responsible for delivering human resources support, advice and outcomes aligned with our values and operational requirements.

  • Respond to employee relations issues
  • Support managers with grievances and disciplinary process
  • Develop reports and provide statistical analysis for continuous improvement
  • Provide support to the wider HR team as required
  • Provide assistance to and answer queries from the business relating to HR policies

Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary Qualification, in the field of Human Resource or Employee Relations
  • Exposure to a HR metrics and outcomes driven environment
  • Understanding of ER/IR activities including performance management, grievances and negotiation of Enterprise Agreements
  • Working knowledge of various people systems to support HR activities.
  • Excellent communication skills- written and verbal as well as a strong customer service ethic
  • Ability to work autonomously and prioritise your work loads
