The Position

St John of God Health Care, Group Services is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Senior Industrial and Employee Relations Advisor to provide advice to key stakeholders on industrial relations and human resource management issues; lead negotiation processes for Enterprise Agreements and manage their implementation, and represent the organisation at necessary industrial tribunals.

A tertiary level qualification in human resources/industrial relations and/or relevant discipline or equivalent extensive experience is essential for further consideration.

This position will be offered on a permanent full time basis, working 76 hours per fortnight in Osborne Park.

The successful candidate will have: 

  • Ability to work within and contribute to the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
  • Tertiary level qualification in human resources/industrial relations and/or relevant discipline or equivalent extensive experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills, including the ability to engage and liaise with individuals at all levels of the organisation.
  • Exceptional negotiation and conflict resolution skills to manage workplace issues.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of industrial Award/Agreements, relevant legislation and contemporary IR practice.
  • Proven leadership skills and commitment to teamwork.
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills, including presentation and training capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently, maintain and monitor own work programs to meet deadlines.
