Reporting to the General Manager, People (Business and Industry) and as part of the HR leadership team, the People and Culture Manager will take on a national portfolio of contracts and drive and partner with site leaders in implementing the Human Resources strategy across the Business and Industry division. 

The division has a wide variety of clients including Nestle, Citibank, HP, Metro Trains, Novartis and Melbourne Cricket Ground.

The role will play a key role in partnering with Site Leaders on delivering the best possible people outcomes for a division nearing 4000 service professionals. 

This exciting role will also take on leadership of a HR Advisor and will play an integral role in ISS reaching its Vision of becoming ‘the world’s greatest service provider’.

Key Result Areas

• Lead, mentor and develop HR Advisor
• Employee & Industrial Relations Support
• Deliver Learning and Development courses
• Organisational Development and projects and reporting
• Be seen as a leader within the business and demonstrate the ISS Leadership Principles
• Deliver customer service and relationship management
• Regularly audit and report performance against agreed standards
• Develop, implement and maintain an HSE audit schedule
• Ensure regulatory compliance as required
• Health, Safety and Environment

The Position:

• Drive the People outcomes in the Business and Industry portfolio nationally
• Partner with the site leadership team in providing HR guidance, support and advice
• Strong understanding of Employee Relations including interpretation of Awards/Enterprise Agreements and performance/disciplinary management
• Experience in delivering training and implementing Learning & Development
• Experience in driving employee engagement activities and the ability to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and enhance retention
• Must be an enthusiastic & highly motivated individual with a passion for people
• Exceptional organisation, planning and communication skills
• Ability to drive a Customer Service ethos with a large team in a highly compliant environment
• Proven ability to develop key stakeholder relations
• Preferred experience within the service sector

Minimum Criteria:

• Minimum 3 years HR related experience within a large scale workforce
• Relevant tertiary qualification in HR and/or Health, Safety and Quality
• Strong leadership skills - proven ability to influence others to a considered course of action – effective communication.
• Operational planning
• Well-honed customer relationship skills
• Management of a diverse workforce in a highly regulated environment preferable
• Proven ability to deliver to plan.
• Customer Service care, control or management experience
• Organised - outcome and deadline oriented.
• High personal integrity.
