Our business is growing and we are seeking to add highly skilled and motivated people to our teams.
 
We seek to appoint an energetic and engaging Employee Relations (HR) Coordinator to our team, based in South Melbourne. Reporting to the Employee Relations Manager, the ER Coordinator supports the Employee Relations and Recruitment team with administrative activities including contract generation & letters, reference checking, mobilisation activities, inductions, employee movements/changes and demobilisation and participates in ER initiatives as directed by the ER Manager.
 
Key responsibilities will include: 
  • Providing a superior customer experience
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring smooth delivery of HR services
  • Provide appropriate and relevant HR/ER policy advice
  • Support recruitment activity with phone screens, reference checks, booking of pre-employment medicals etc
  • Coordinate HR processes such as inductions, onboarding and personnel movements
  • Act as the knowledge point for HR/ER systems
  • Be the key contact for external service providers ie. AustralianSuper, EAP and actively promote these services across business
  • Assist with ER related initiatives where directed and in accordance with ER Improvement Plan
  • Prepare executive and other reporting as required
The successful candidate showcases a history of high performance, tenacity, enthusiasm for the task at hand, an engaging personality and sound interpersonal skills.
 
Couple this with;
  • Tertiary qualifications in HR or related discipline
  • Previous exposure to Technical, Consulting Services, Engineering or matrix organisation
  • Experience in heavy industry will be highly regarded
  • Able to engage and influence a diverse range of stakeholders  
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply relevant government employment legislation
  • Be a person of integrity who is trusted by others and achieves their commitments
