ABOUT THE COMPANY.

This highly regarded Local Council located in the South Western Suburbs of Sydney is currently seeking an experienced and well-presented Human Resources Advisor to join their team. This team initially provides HR advice to staff and managers. You will gain exposure to various HR aspects of Federal, State and Local Legislation regarding Local Government employment issues.

ABOUT THE POSITION.

As a Human Resources Advisor, you will be responsible for providing advice and support to Managers on restructure proposals including; Position redesign, job evaluation, relativity of position across organisation, etc.

DUTIES.
  • Provide strategic advice and guidance to Managers and Directors
  • Manage job evaluation system, including job analysis, job design, and preparation of position descriptions
  • Manage established structure, organisation charts, and prepare reports 
  • Identify business performance needs and implement innovative workplace and people solutions
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE. 
  • Tertiary qualified - Human Resources or other related discipline
  • Prior experience working with organisation structure, job design, job analysis, job evaluation process
  • Knowledge of WH&S practices, the principles of Equal Employment Opportunity, ethical practice, and multi-cultural diversity
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
